revolt or reform?

That's right.

We agree, to say that a replacement system, a congreuent system, a simultaneous system, an asymmetrical system, must be in place and active before any meaningful switch occurs.

if and when it's functional and effective, the revolution, ie thru Violence, Won't be necessary.

However;
the enemy, says when the war is over.

Are there alternative systems available now?

If so, would they advertise?

Who will Accept 8 billion new citizens?

Where can they When they are ready to switch?

Big questions for a such a tiny group.

progress vs regress

What does “progress” mean to you in a personal or societal sense?

There's two versions of how the term "progress" is used in political discourse.

The general audience is not always savy enough to spot the differences, and the alt-right seeks to undermine left leaning discourse thru this manipulation of double speak.

1. Progress is referred to any movement, forward motion or direction towards a specific goal.

Conservatives oppose this, and know very well they can't call them selves, political Re-gresssives, that simply won't do.
Take America back, make great again, does just that, Regress. Its regressive ideology.

Where we get confused, on purpose, purposely deceived, is where the alt-right states that progress, is forward movement in thier direction further Down this road of regression.

In other words, you can have both left progress and right progress.

Agendas that serve the decentralization of power into the hands of the public many
Or
Centrize that power into the hands of the private few.

One serves itself and destroys the other.

dismantling vs destruction

I agree with statement, sure. Though, let's say it happens, do we have time to dismantle the system and build a new replacement before or after it has been destroyed?

Do we really have, the "luxury time";

to find a replacement before the system destroys itself, and everything around it?

The point here is the false dichotomy bewtween dramatic abrupt change vs slow incremental change.

When we realize we have to build a new boat first, ie beg, borrow or steal, before the old boat sinks..

Regardless how it sinks, we'll need a new boat big enough to carry all those fools who can't swim.

Are there alternatives, available today?

Yes. Let's explore them together.

how did Rhode Island become a state?

Independence

Newport, Portsmouth, and Providence united in 1644 to form the Rhode Island and Providence Plantations ("plantation" is a British English word for "colony") with the aim of fighting for their independence. On May 4th, 1776, Rhode Island was the first colony to renounce allegiance to the Great Britain and declare its independence. However, Rhode Island was the last state to ratify the United States Constitution. It finally did so on May 29, 1790, following threats of having its exports taxed as if from a foreign country

what is a general strike?

https://generalstrikeus.com/

Who are we?
We’ve voted, we’ve protested, and this country still does not work on behalf of us working people. The General Strike is a network of regular people who know our greatest power is our labor and our right to refuse it. If we all strike together, we can make real change.

Peter Maurin’s influence on the Catholic Worker Movement is often overlooked, even in Catholic Worker circles. But he was the intellectual author of the movement, and gas much to teach the movement even today. how to define a cult?

How do we define a cult?
"There's no shame calling a dead man, dead, "

Quote:
The phrase "there's no shame in calling a dead man dead" is attributed to Shakespeare in his play "Othello," where the character Iago says it, highlighting the idea of accepting reality and not trying to sugarcoat the truth about someone's death.

a cult of reason?

(It's not rational to debate with Dead men", a foolish endeavor from those who seek to embellish thier obsolete traditions.) O.B.

Cult is a lay term for a group perceived as requiring unwavering devotion to a set of beliefs and practices which are considered deviant outside the norms of society. Such groups are typically perceived as being led by a charismatic leader who tightly controls its members. (1)
______

The metaphysics of identity implies that actions and persons are the same or share same-Ness. (1)

The crisis of political, national and cultural identity rests in the discontinuity of this perceived same-ness. In other words, and persons ideas, words and deeds should match thier character. If not, trauma of divergent behaviors, cognitive dissonance begin to develop. (OB)
__________

Cult of reason

The Cult of Reason (French: Culte de la Raison)[note 1] was France's first established state-sponsored atheistic religion, intended as a replacement for Roman Catholicism during the French Revolution. After holding sway for barely a year, in 1794 it was officially replaced by the rival deistic Cult of the Supreme Being, promoted by Robespierre.[1][2][3][4] Both cults were officially banned in 1802 by Napoleon Bonaparte with his Law on Cults of 18 Germinal, Year X.[5]
